1. Do you travel for destination weddings?

Not at this time. For now I'm only providing elopement photography services in Portland, Oregon. I do have dreams of traveling out of state but for now, I'm staying local. Hopefully one day I'll get there. Stay tuned.

2. Do you help with planning our engagement session?

Yes I do! I offer engagement photo sessions as an add-on service. If you're interested in an engagement photo shoot, simply inquire with me and we'll talk about making it happen.

3. What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Life happens, I get it! You’re welcome to reschedule once with at least 48 hours’ notice, no problem. Last-minute cancellations (under 48 hours) or no-shows forfeit the retainer. If I ever have to cancel due to illness, emergency, or unsafe conditions, you’ll get a full refund or the chance to reschedule, your choice.

4. Do you offer digital files, prints, or albums?

Yes I do! Your photos deserve to live off of your phone and on your walls and in a frame. Your online photo gallery features an option to order prints and albums. Simply inquire about prints and albums during the planning process or after your elopement day and I'll set you up with a link to my digital print store.

5. What’s in your camera bag?

The essentials: my camera, gear, extra batteries (and some more batteries), and whatever water bottle I’m obsessed with that week. Also: fruit snacks. Always. You’ll probably find a few empty Welch’s or KIND bar wrappers floating around in there. Just consider it part of the creative process.

6. How do I book with you?

Booking a photography session is easy. Simply reach out to me through my booking request link or send me an email on my Contact Me page. Let me know the type of session you're interested in. I'll guide you through the process, discuss your requirements, and if you and I are a good fit, we'll find a convenient date and time for your session.

7. How far in advance should I book my photo shoot?

If you need your photos ready to share with the world by a specific date (like for an event, announcement, or launch), I recommend booking your shoot at least 4 months in advance. That gives us plenty of time for planning, scheduling, editing, and printing, plus (if we need them), it gives us time for city permits to be approved.

8. I need my photos in time for an event. How far in advance should I book my photo shoot?

9. Can we include our dog in our ceremony?

Yes you may. However, keep in mind, some state parks and locations do not allow pets unless they are a service animal. So check with the location first, but if it's ok with the location, it's ok with me. Remember too, that in the state of Oregon, your pet cannot sign your official marriage license as it invalidates your license. You may have them sign a decorative license though.

10. CAN WE INCLUDE OUR DOG IN OUR CEREMONY?

It depends on the package you book. Each package includes up to a set number of edited images. If you end up loving more (which happens a lot!), you’ll have the option to purchase extras or upgrade to the full gallery.

I take self-love/I Love Me photos, and couples photos. Are you celebrating a big win or a major life change? Do you love this moment in your life? Totally in love with the one you're with? Do you want to get in front of the camera, just because you want to? Great, let's make some magic.✨

12. What if we'd like to include friends and family in our day?

You absolutely may. While we're in the planning phase, please supply me with a final guest count. If you have more than 10 people attending on your ceremony day, you will more than likely need a permit. So the sooner you have a final count the better. We can also come up with sweet ways to include your family and friends and still keep your day as intimate as possible.

13. I need my photos in time for an event. How far in advance should I book my photo shoot?

I highly recommend scheduling your session at least four months beforehand if you need to use them for printed photos. This allows a comfortable amount of time for photo selections, edits, album designs, printing, and delivery.

14. Can I choose the location for my photoshoot?

Absolutely! I believe that the location plays a significant role in capturing unique and personalized photographs. Whether it's at your home, a scenic outdoor location, or a venue of your choice. I also have a location guide I can offer to help you choose, but I love to capture your portraits in a place that holds meaning to you.

15. Do you travel for photoshoots?

Soft Rebel Photography is proudly Portland-based. Sessions are currently offered within one hour's driving distance of Portland, Oregon.

16. How long have you been a photographer?

I got my first camera in 5th grade (shoutout to the Kodak disposable camera that started it all!) and I’ve been hooked ever since. I spent middle and high school photographing friends, parties, and anything I could point a lens at. After graduation, I started shooting big celebrations and portraits on the side, and over time, that passion turned into a full-time photography business. So all in all, it’s been about 20 years of learning, experimenting, and falling in love with this craft over and over again.

17. What should I wear for photos?

Don't stress, I’ve got you! Once your session is booked, you’ll get my full "What to Wear Guide", packed with tips for outfits, colors, hair, makeup, and all the details that help you look and feel your best. You don’t have to overthink it. I’ll help you pull it all together.

18. Am I able to book a photo shoot at the beach in the Winter months?

Because winter weather in Oregon can be so unpredictable, Coastal photo sessions are only bookable between March and October. In case of unsafe travel conditions, we’ll make a collaborative call to reschedule or relocate your session. Your safety and your experience come first, always.

20. Can we meet you before booking?

Not at this time. In-person meetings before bookings aren’t something I offer. We will book a Zoom or phone call before you book and sign your contract to meet, but I also totally understand wanting to feel good about your decision. So if you have questions before that call about pricing, availability, or need any clarification, I’m always just an email or DM away. I’ve got you.

21. Do you offer maternity or newborn photo sessions?

At this time, I focus exclusively on solo portraits and couples. If you’re looking for maternity or newborn photography, I’m happy to recommend talented local photographers who specialize in that work.

The duration of a photo session varies depending on the type and package you book. Portrait sessions typically range from 1 to 2 hours. I strive to provide ample time to capture all the important moments and ensure you feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the session.

23. Can my vendors use our photos too? Like the florist, makeup artist, or venue?

If a vendor (like your florist, stylist, planner, or venue) wants to use any of your photos to promote their own business, like for their website, social media, ads, or printed marketing. They’ll need to contact me directly to request commercial use and purchase a proper license.

Photo credit or tagging doesn’t equal permission. Sharing images to promote a business is considered commercial use and requires written approval and a signed license agreement.

Vendors may not use your photos unless:

• They have written permission from me

• They’ve signed a non-exclusive image license

If you’re working with amazing vendors and want them to have access, just send them my way and I’ll take care of the rest. Easy peasy.
